All our well-appointed rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, ironing board and iron, quality complimentary toiletries and TV with Freeview and radio channels.  Free wi-fi is available in our public rooms.  All our bedrooms and public areas are non-smoking.

The Teign Suite

The best room in the house, with a huge en-suite bedroom and a separate sitting room. Both the bedroom and sitting room have vast picture windows with fabulous views onto the front garden and across the beautiful Devon countryside to Castle Drogo. Teign is complemented by plush fabrics, antique furniture and a truly comfortable six-foot bed.  The limestone bathroom has a large bath with a shower.     [more]

Dart

     
One of our favourites! A beautiful, first floor bedroom with a large balcony overlooking the front and side garden of the hotel: Perfect for enjoying a G&T before dinner, or a summer breakfast al fresco.   The room has a sumptuous six-foot bed and two comfortable armchairs. Elegant, antique furniture compliments the old-fashioned wooden beams and panels. The granite tiled bathroom has a large bath with fitted shower.     [more]

West Okement

      
This first floor bedroom is a large, bright room with two windows looking onto the hotel gardens. It has a comfortable six-foot bed and a large sofa to sit and read, or watch TV. The generous bathroom has a large, deep bath fitted with a shower,  and plenty of shelf space where you’ll find our complimentary luxury toiletries.     [more]

Bovey

This recently-refurbished first floor room has a great view over the front garden and up to Castle Drogo. The layout is a little quirky which many of our guests really like, and the six foot bed is extremely comfortable. It has a bath with shower, and we can make up this room as either a king size double or a twin.      [more]

Erme

This is a very popular garden room on the ground floor, often requested by our regular guests. Recently refurbished, and with a large bright window and a door direct onto the garden with its own patio area, it is particularly useful if you have your dogs with you or you like to sit in the sun during the afternoon.   The six foot bed can be split to create a twin room if you prefer. The bathroom is cosy but has that essential full size bath with shower. We can make up this room as either a king size double or a twin.     [more]

East Okement

This spacious king size room (six foot bed) is on the first floor. It is a light, bright and peaceful room with views over the garden. The generous sized bathroom has a large bath with shower. We can make up this room as either a king size double or a twin.      [more]

Ashburn

 A recently-refurbished large bedroom on the second floor with double aspect windows overlooking the garden at the front and the river at the back. It is a beautiful, peaceful room but when the river is high, you can clearly hear (and see) the running water. The room has elegant antique furniture and a classical country house feel! The comfortable marble-tiled bathroom has a large bath fitted with a shower.   [more]

Meavy

A lovely, peaceful Standard Double room on the first floor with a view over our gardens and the countryside beyond. There is a luxury en-suite with full size bath and fitted shower.    [more]

Plym

This is a really pleasant, cosy room, recently refurbished throughout. This Standard Double room is on the second floor with views over the front garden. There are two steps that lead down to a luxurious bathroom that has a bath fitted with shower.    [more]

Yealm

A popular ground floor garden room that’s light and bright with direct access to the private patio and peaceful garden. This Standard Double room has an en-suite shower room and there’s a comfortable double bed and a small sofa.    [more]

Taw

A really charming Standard Double room on the first floor with a corner window overlooking the Mill End garden.  The room has a double bed and a comfortable armchair by the corner window. The bathroom is spacious with a large bath fitted with a shower.    [more]

Tavy

A very popular twin room on the first floor with great views over the garden.  A really comfortable and spacious bedroom with good storage, and charming country house décor. The bathroom is cosy with a low ceiling but a full size bath.    [more]

 Swincombe

A garden room on the ground  floor, perfect for those with dogs or simply those who like to sit on the private patio and enjoy the view of the garden and the sound of the Teign flowing by. The bathroom has no bath but a good shower if that’s your preference.  This twin room has two single beds and a comfortable sofa.    [more]

Walkham

Our Family Room - great if you have one or two children with you, or simply as a spacious double. This is a second floor room overlooking the front garden with a lovely view across the Teign valley. It has two comfortable beds – a double and a single – and room enough for a z-bed  if required.  Lots of character and charm exude from the beams and sloping ceiling. There’s no shower but the bath is perfect for a wallow after a Dartmoor hike.    [more]

Lyd

A really pretty first floor room with a view over the front lawn. It’s ideal as a single but with a beautiful wooden sleigh bed can be an intimate double. The small en-suite has a walk-in shower.    [more]
