The River winds its way around the lush grounds of the traditional country house, creating a magical countryside setting for your special day. Mill End luxury hotel is a haven for those seeking a secluded and peaceful venue for their wedding in Devon’s idyllic landscapes. Exclusively set away in countryside, yet easily located less than twenty miles from Exeter, Tavistock and Newton Abbot, easy to find on the A382. Celebrate with loved ones in our traditional, quaint country gardens, luscious lawns and within the hotel’s lounges. We are licensed to hold civil ceremonies in our beautiful summer house on the sprawling front lawn and within our cosy and romantic lounge space, so you have the freedom to choose where you would like to get married and the choice should the weather change.
Mill End can host up to forty guests, plus yourselves, for your wedding day and celebratory weekend. As well as being a licensed venue on Dartmoor, we welcome wedding receptions or weekend-long celebrations if you choose to get married in one of our local churches.

Having exclusive use of Mill End Hotel means you have full, private access to the grounds, rooms, lounges and the twenty one elegant boutique rooms and luxury suites at Mill End, providing the perfect retreat.
Everyone can relax into the celebrations with complete privacy through out. Many rooms and suites are dog friendly if you wish to make your wedding a four-paw friendly affair, too. Mill End is available exclusively for two day hire during any season. Please enquire for longer stays and exclusive one night use during the Winter months.
As part of this exclusive use package, you and your fiancé will have access to our finest suites the night before your wedding day. Our newly renovated Teign makes the perfect bridal suite, with plenty of space for the bridal party to get ready together whilst overlooking the gardens. Wolf suite is usually the chosen suite for the groomsmen, located in a separate area of the hotel.

Our multi-award-winning hotel and 2 AA fine-dining restaurant give your intimate wedding a touch of luxury in Devon. Our wedding package includes breakfasts and a celebratory, day-after-the-wedding breakfast for you and your guests.
Head Chef Will Broom is passionate about creating sensational, flavourful dishes that showcase Dartmoor’s local produce and finest provenance. You will discover a British menu with modern twists, and our talented chefs can happily work with you to create a wedding breakfast menu perfect for your big day.
Mill End also has a large, covered, outdoor wooden lodge, which provides a lovely space to shelter and entertain into the evening. The lodge also offers ideal space to enjoy an evening buffet, which you can add to your wedding package.

Included in the Wedding Package
- Our exclusive use wedding package starts from £13,500.
- You will have full use of all twenty-one boutique rooms and luxury suites, including optional housekeeping.
- Additional beds for children can be added to certain rooms with prior arrangement.
- Bed and breakfast for each guest staying (up to forty-two guests).
- Three-course, fine-dining wedding breakfast (up to forty-two guests).
- Canapes for all guests (up to forty-two guests).
- Fully stocked bar serving during the agreed times, manned by our excellent team.
- Mill End additional drinks and buffet packages will include use of the hotel’s crockery, table linen and glasses.
- We can assist in setting up tables and chairs in position for the ceremony in your chosen area but will require prior knowledge and arrangement if staff are needed.
- We offer an extensive wine list and speciality local spirits in our bar. We ask that you choose the suppliers we already support, many of whom are local. Our bar will be open for the duration of your stay, at the agreed to times.

Which arrangements need to be made?
As a couple, you will need to arrange for a registrar to conduct the ceremony.
To make full use of the lawn and beautiful outdoor space on your special day, we recommend hiring a marquee. This will also create a dedicated dancefloor. We cannot be held responsible for the erection and take down for external suppliers.
We have a music and entertainment license. You are welcome to make use of our sound system, but you will need to organise live musicians and entertainment.
No decorations are provided by Mill End, it is your responsibility to decorate the venue as you wish or with the help of your wedding planner.
