Check-In and Check-Out

Your room will normally be available from 3.15pm on the day of arrival.  You are of course very welcome to arrive early, and perhaps enjoy a spot of lunch, a coffee or a cream tea.  Please let us know if you expect to arrive after 10pm.

So that we can prepare your room for the next guests, we would ask that you check out by 11am on the day of departure.  You are welcome to leave your car in our car park if you would like to enjoy a final walk before you head off.

The Restaurant

We serve a Full English breakfast from 7.45am until 9.30 am every day

Dinner is served from 6.30 pm, with last orders at 8pm.  If you are staying with us, we’ll always do our best to accommodate you for dinner, but it’s a good idea to let us know at the time of booking if you would like to dine.

Dogs

Your dog will be very welcome at Mill End.  The charge is £12 per night, per dog. You will need to make your own arrangements for feeding. In the unlikely event that your canine companion causes damage, you’ll understand that we would need to make a charge.  Click here for more information on our dog-friendly hotel facilities

Children

Children are welcome at Mill End, but please do let us know if you have any specific requirements.  Children (under 16) are charged at £15.00 per night when sharing a room with two adults. Meals are charged as taken

Settlement of Accounts

Accounts are payable on departure. We accept most major credit and debit cards (and cash of course!), but not cheques.

We will ask you for a deposit at the time of booking of £100. The balance of your accommodation charges and any extras is payable on departure.

Different payment conditions may be applicable for functions, group bookings and special breaks (for example, Christmas and New Year).

If You Need to Cancel

We appreciate that plans can change for all sorts of reasons and are able to accept cancellations without charge up to 1 week before your booked arrival date with any deposit fully refunded. For cancellations within 1 week of arrival the deposit is forfeit and after that period the full accommodation charge would be applicable. If you are unable to honour your reservation due to testing positive for Covid, any cancellations within 1 week of arrival will also forfeit the deposit, alternatively, subject to availability we can change your reservation to a later date for an additional charge of £50. We make every effort to re-sell cancelled rooms to be able to refund some or all of any fees charged.

For Christmas and New Year breaks, your deposit and any pre-paid balance are non-refundable.

We do suggest that you take out a suitable travel insurance policy to provide cover in the event that you need to cancel.

In all instances, please contact us on 01647-432282 as soon as possible.

In the exceptionally unlikely event that we should need to cancel your reservation for any reason, we will contact you as soon as possible, although our liability is limited to a refund of any payments received.

Differing cancellation terms may apply to special events and functions.  Please ask us if you have any queries regarding the terms applying to your booking.

Rate Issues

If there has been a mistake made in the pricing by Mill End Hotel, a 3rd party web site or there has been a website glitch, then Mill End Hotel will contact the booker within 7 days and offer the correct price or a discounted price. The booker can either accept the new pricing arrangement or the booking will be cancelled and any deposit or monies taken will be refunded. If Mill End Hotel are unable to offer alternative accommodation within the bookers budget then it will be up to the booker to find alternative accommodation at their own expense.
