Sit back and enjoy delicious candle-lit dining in our restaurant at Mill End, with our frequently changing menu offering a choice of tempting starters, mains and desserts. Fresh, local, seasonal produce, prepared with care and presented with flair. One course, two courses or three courses – the choice is yours. Enjoy Devon’s finest – including locally reared meats, fish from Devon’s coasts, and carefully constructed vegetarian choices.

To Start

Trio of Duck - Breast of Creedy Carver duck hot smoked with Earl Grey tea, spring roll of confit duck with oriental vegetables and rillettes of duck with five spice and plum purée, all finished with honey and soy reduction and toasted sesame oil £8.50

Foie Gras Parfait - Parfait of foie gras and chicken liver presented with Madeira jelly, mushroom ketchup and brioche crisps £8.00

Assiette of Seafood - Roasted salmon marinated in chilli and basil, seared scallop infused with lime and coriander, scallion and ginger crab cake, garnished with chargrilled avocado and micro-herbs £9.50

Tuna Nicoise - Seared fillet of tuna dressed with Parisienne potatoes, lightly pickled cucumber, cured tomatoes, olives, soft boiled quail’s eggs and a dill dressing £8.50

Red Mullet - Local red mullet in zesty citrus ceviche marinade accompanied by garlic crouton, radish and rocket salad with horseradish mayonnaise £6.50

Beetroot and ‘Vulscombe’ (v) - Textures of candy stripe, golden and red beetroot served with Vulscombe goat’s cheese and spring onion fritters, micro-herbs and mustard dressing £7.50

West Country Lamb - Herb crusted rack of lamb and slow roasted rump presented with pomme fondant, parsnip and thyme purée, slow roasted tomatoes and baby carrots poached in beetroot and orange juice £20

Duo of Pork - Seared Loin and honey glazed pork belly garnished with root vegetables, sage and onion croquettes, crackling and apple sauce £19

Local Pheasant - Pan roasted breast and lolly pop of slow braised leg accompanied by bubble and squeak potato, tenderstem broccoli with tarragon cream sauce £18

Loin of Monkfish - Butter roasted monkfish rested on spiced lentils finished with pak choi, tempura prawns and fresh mango chutney £18

Seabass Risotto - Risotto nero crowned with seared seabass fillet, squid, saffron infused artichokes, smoked aubergine and micro-herbs £17

The Mill Fish and Chips - Prime loin of cod in light caper and herb batter dressed with pea purée and triple cooked chips simply finished with fresh lemon £14.50

Gnocchi (v) - Tender gnocchi sauté with wild mushrooms served with parmesan, rocket and truffle oil £15
